Relapse Prevention and Life Skills Coaching
Relapse Prevention and Life Skills Coaching is proving to be extremely effective at Transformations Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center.
Relapse Prevention-
According to Matt Brindisi, the Admissions Coordinator for Transformations Treatment Center and Relapse Prevention Program, “I have seen why people come in and out of treatment and it is usually for the same reasons by different faces. People try to come out of the gate too quickly because they think that 30 days is enough treatment. Realistically, that does not make too much sense. Some people have been using for 5, 10 or even 20 years. So for someone to think they will be cured after 30 days is not realistic. Unfortunately, some people may not have the ability to stay 90 days because insurance just want allow it. So we offer those who can not stay 90 days the opportunity to come back three days a week for one year with hopes that they will achieve that one year of sobriety.”
Life Skills Coaching-
1. “Normal” life skills are often skewed in favor of drug seeking behaviors while an addict is in the throes of his or her addiction. Because he learns new, drug seeking, habits, the healthy habits he or she might have once had are forgotten.
2. Drug rehabilitation offers the drug addict a chance to get clean in a safe and monitored environment. Often the addict becomes reliant upon that monitoring to keep him or her from returning to her former drug seeking ways. Once this monitoring is removed, many addicts find that they are not sure how to monitor themselves or how to get themselves into a regular, drug-free routine.
Transformations Treatment Center understands that the transition from life in rehab to life in the “regular world” is difficult for many recovering drug addicts and they have put together the Life Skills for Addicts program to help them both cope with that transition and learn how to continue leading a drug free life outside of rehab.

Relapse prevention is one of the most important things i have learned while i was in a drug and alcohol treatment center. If we dont know how to prevent ourselves from drugs and alcohol addiction and alcoholism will take us out again.

Ive been to a few drug and alcohol treatment center over the years. And it wasnt until i went to my last drug rehab that I had learned relapse prevention. That has been the most important thing I had learned to help overcome my addiction and alcoholism. drugs and alcohol are powerful. But with the right set of tools, they can be beaten.

Its hard for me to admit but at 30 yrs old i needed life skills. Ive been an addict and alcoholic for so long, I forgot how to live like a normal person. addiction and alcoholism had complete control of my life. I had to go back to a drug and alcohol rehab and learn how to live all over again.

Relapse prevention save my drug addict butt. If there is one thing I can say I learned in drug treatment it was how to use the tools given to me to avoid a relapse. The drug rehab I went to taught life skills plus relapse prevention. And the last drug treatment facility I went to happend to be a christian drug and alcohol rehab. Trust me they got some good stuff…

As of an addict and an alcoholic coming out of a christian drug treatment center the most valuable thing I took with me was the relapse prevention. Addiction and alcoholism is very cunninig we need the latest tools and weapons to beat it. drugs and alcohol dont have to defeat us.

Most drug and alcohol rehabs are stepping up there relapse prevention programs. It is the most important thing you can learn at a drug treatment center. Without it addicts and alcoholics have a chance of relapsing. I use the tools Ive learned in drug rehab and apply them in my every day life.

Boy did i need some life skills! The only skill I had in life was how to score drugs and get high. Not much of a skilled life if you ask me. I was introduced to a christian drug treatment center. At first I wasnt to thrilled with the Idea. I thought it was going to be like church the whole time I was there. I was wrong! It taught me how to live without drugs and alcohol. It gave me something to believe in. It gave me hope it gave me faith. It gave me life.

I recently just moved to delray beach florida. I am currently looking for a drug and alcohol treatment facility. Possibly a chiristian drug rehab. I dont want to be that picky but i need some type of strong drug treatment. I need relapse prevention. and life skills coaching. I am an active addict and need all the help I can get.

I need a drug treatment center that has a good relapse prevention group. I have been trying to qiot drugs and alcohol for 15 years now. I need some good tools to help me from relapsing. The last drug rehab I went to didnt have a life skills a relapse prevention group. So my addiction and alcoholism did its thing. I really dont want to use drugs and alcohol anymore.

Im looking to find a drug rehab that offers life skills and relapse prevention. Plus I don’t want to be in a treatment center that is like a hospital. I want to stay at a place where I can detox and feel comfortable. I know of several places in florida to choose from that some what offer what im looking for. My parents are behind me 100% and want me to put down the drugs and alcohol. They both are recovering addicts and alcoholics. So they know what I an going through right now. They have already found a halfway house for me to go to when I leave treatment.
By miguel, May 8, 2009 @ 6:01 pm
The last drug rehab center I was in didnt have a relapse prevention group. why i have no idea. i think that is the most inportant thing you can learn in a drug treatment program. I relapsed about a month ago on heroin. I im looking to go back to a drug treatment center. Im going to florida to get clean. thats where i did it the first time. the is a lot of sobriety in delray beach florida.

I was in my last drug and alcohol rehab for 3 months. And I can honestly say the most important thing I learned was relapse prevention. It is helping me stay clean and sober today. the second most important thing I learned was life skills. without the life skills that i had learned it would be hard for me to maintain my job and everyday responsibilities. christian drug treatment worked for me. It can work for you.

I need a drug rehab that is setting high standards. The last drug and alcohol treatment center that I sent my daughter to had the lowest standards i have ever seen. They were all abut the money. They had no interest in weather my daughter got off drugs and alcohol or not. once they got there money all the interest they had went right out the window. That was the worst drug rehab i have ever heard of. Christian rehabs do set higher standards. I know of a couple of addicts that have graduated from one.
By jason g, May 12, 2009 @ 11:18 am
Where was the relapse prevention when I needed it. I am the king of relapse. The previous drug treatment center i was in didnt have a relapse prevention. life sills is a biggie also. Christian drug treatment focuses on all aspects for the addict and alcoholic.

Life skills and relapse prevention was very important part of my sobriety. Drugs and alcohol had me forgetting how to live like normal people do. Relapse prevention helped me fight cravings and helped me get out of sticky situations. Addiction and alcoholism is cunning and baffeling. My last drug treatment center helped me stop using drugs and alcohol and gave me the tools to live and enjoy life without the use of drugs and alcohol.
By dennis, May 20, 2009 @ 2:51 pm
Relapse prevention is one of the many things that you will learn in most drug treatment centers. Life skills is also a main topic. Without using either one in your life you are likely to relapse. I went to a few different drug rehabs in my day. It wasnt until i went to my last one which was a christian drug and alcohol treatment center that i learned life skills and relapse prevention. Then i was finally able to stay clean and sober. Addiction and alcoholism can be beat as long as you have the tools.

I just came back from a relapse. I was clean for about 3 years. then I went on a drug run for about a year. Now im just getting back into the swing of things. Im going back to a drug and alcohol treatment center in florida. This time when I go back Im making sure i get relapse prevention.

i just came back from a relapse. I am going back to a drug treatment center in florida to try and get clean and sober again. In my last treatment center they didnt really teach relapse prevention. I believe Life skills and relapse prevention are 2 of the most important things when it comes to getting clean and sober. Drugs and alcohol have to be put down and we can learn how to keep them down.
By lamar, May 23, 2009 @ 1:48 pm
My life has been surrounded by drugs and alcohol one way or another. When I get into active addiction I seem to forget how to live. every time i get clean and sober I seem to relapse. I need a drug treatment center that is going to teach me a good relapse prevention prevention program. I also need to get a life skills program working in my life. drugs and alcohol can be beaten if you take the certain steps needed to overcome addiction and alcoholism.
By steve, May 25, 2009 @ 12:55 pm
As i was growing up i never thought i would turn in to an addict and alcoholic. But as life happend so did drugs and alcohol. I cant chnge the past I can only look forward and try to focus on the positive. Getting into a drug treatment program was the first thing I had to do. While I was there they taught me life skills and relapse prevention things I would need to stay away from drugs and alcohol

If your on this page either you are drug addict or you know one. I have been addicted to drugs and alcohol for a while. Im in recovery now. And clean and sober. If you can get honest with yourself i get the drug or alcohol treatment you need your life can be completely different. I am using the relapse prevention skills I learned to stay away from drugs and alcohol.
By joey, May 25, 2009 @ 1:54 pm
i was lucky i got my recovery at a young age. It really doesn’t matter how old you are. You can put down drugs and alcohol at anytime. You can start over whenever you feel like it. Finding a good drug treatment center is the first thing i did and I went from there. Now I have a grip on my addiction. I take it one day at a time.

I lost all of my life skills once I relapsed and started using drugs and alcohol again. Cocaine and heroin stole my life. I ended up going into a christian drug program in florida. They had relapse prevention and life skills groups that helped me get back on track.

if you are willing to go to drug treatment and are looking to find a drug treatment center that works. here are a few things to look for. Do they have a relapse prevention group? Do they have a life skills group? and do they have a guaranteed success program? these are things to look for in a drug program. Most christian drug rehabs offer all these things and more.

Deciding which alcoholism treatment program is right for you is a tough decision. This is partly because there are so many different addiction treatment options available and partly because each person who has worked through their own alcoholism and become sober becomes a staunch advocate of the program that worked for them. It’s highly likely that you’ve talked to quite a few people about which alcoholism treatment is best and gotten an adamant “this is the only program that works” opinion from each of them. We’re even willing to bet that none of those people had the same treatment and that right now you are more confused than ever!

Drug Treatment Centers sometimes can get a bad reputation because a person enters drug rehab, decides to go back out and start drinking alcohol which turns to crack and before you know it, is in full blown drug addiction again.

detox alone is very rarely enough for drug and alcohol recovery, and successful education and therapy is necessary. There are many different ways to approaches to this part of the drug treatment process, and we can help you learn more about different types of counseling and education practices at drug and alcohol rehabs centers across the u.s.

An Aftercare program is an important part of the drug and alcohol recovery process. Eachdrug and alcohol treatment center may have its own way of conducting follow-up and offering support after graduation. Some of the keys to preventing relapse occur within the initial drug treatment setting but then applying what was learned is essential. It is necessary to address important areas of life in the discharge planning and aftercare drug program that include personal health and fitness, friends and associates, groups and hobbies, family, faith/spirituality and helping others. there is a better way to live

Recognizing that you have a drug and alcohol abuse problem is a very painful realization to come to. It is difficult to watch that being destroyed by an addiction and alcoholism, as well as experiencing how their addiction impacts the lives of others. drug abuse is not a victimless crime.
By jason, June 15, 2009 @ 3:08 pm
most individuals who have a problem with drug addiction or alcoholism will not admit that they have a problemuntil its to late and they have destroyed their lives. Admiting is the first step towards a successful drug recovery program.

relapse has always been a big part of my story. I am a low life loser drug addict that cant seem to get it right no matter what. Even when im clean and sober i seem to still mess thins up. I have a few things on my plate right now. and part of me wants to say forget it and use drugs. then theres another part of me that says dont give up. You can do it. I am a talented person in so many ways im just misunderstood by most. I have been batteling addiction for a very long time. I dont have many friends. im not sure why? I think im just afraid to get close I may let you down or you may let me down. But over the last couple of month I have tried to change my way of thinking. My addictive drug addict mind has always taken control and lead me down the wrong road. Im trying to stay positive no matter what. And not let others or actions in life that affect me get the best of me. I have been through a lot in my day. And i will continue to make it through more. As long as i dont put drugs in my body i think I’ll be alright. Life happends it just all depends on the way you deal with it.

relapse prevention is the key to long term sobriety. If you want to stay off of drugs and alcohol the best way is to go to a drug treatment center and use the tools given to you to stay away from all drugs that can lead you back into active addiction.
By dennis, June 20, 2009 @ 11:40 am
Relapse prevention has been the key to my drug recovery. I learned the things i needed to learn in my last christian drug and alcohol rehab. Thats where i learned the tools needed to fight my addiction.

Im looking for a drug treatment center that offers a life skills program. My daughter is 19 yrs old and is addicted to heroin. I need a drug rehab that can teach her relapse prevention and life skills.
By Kelly, June 22, 2009 @ 1:58 pm
Relapse prevention is the most important thing you can learn at drug treatment. You need to have something to help you when you are faced with drugs and alcohol. Life skills as also very important. Learn a new way to live.
By jackie, June 26, 2009 @ 12:00 pm
