Outpatient Drug Treatment

Outpatient Drug Treatment in Delray Beach, Florida

People who live in Delray Beach, Florida have a lot of options when it comes time to choose a drug addiction recovery program. This can often be confusing because what works well for your friend might not work as well for you. The truth is that choosing the right kind of drug addiction treatment program in Delray Beach depends just as much on who you are as on what kind of program you can afford or the type of program that works well with your schedule. Outpatient drug treatment is quite different than other types of drug treatment that local drug addicts can choose from.

An out patient drug treatment program works best for people who, for whatever reason, do not (or cannot) choose an inpatient drug treatment program. The basics of each program are the same: the recovering addict will attend group and individual therapy sessions as well as skill building workshops and educational classes. If you already have a strong social support system in place, the outpatient drug treatment program, especially the treatment program offered by Transformations Treatment Center is your best option.

Transformations Treatment Center offers patients three phases of drug addiction recovery. During the first phase the patient (also called “client”) will work to overcome his physical addiction to drugs on site. The client will have been seen and cleared by a medical professional and will overcome his physical drug cravings in the luxury accommodations provided by Transformations Treatment Center. The second two phases of drug rehab can be done either on site or off site. Some people choose the inpatient option because staying on site with occasional trips into Delray Beach works better for them. Others choose to live at home while still keeping up with the drug rehab schedule set in place by the Transformations Treatment Center staff.

While some drugs can be stopped all at once, there are others that need to be stopped gradually. This is best done with the help of a medical professional who can prescribe you lesser amounts of the drug over time. Other types of drug addictions are best treated with medication—methadone clinics offer methamphetamine addicts medication that help curb the physical cravings for meth as well as medication that will help lessen the withdrawal symptoms that come along when a person stops using his or her drug of choice.

After the patient has conquered his physical withdrawal symptoms and cravings, the outpatient drug treatment programs in Delray Beach can help the patient work through his psychological cravings to the drug. Transformations Treatment Center helps patients identify the triggers that cause their drug seeking behaviors. At Transformations Treatment Center not only will an addict learn what causes him to seek drugs, he will learn other, sober, ways to satisfy his cravings. Transformations Treatment Center provides clients with a regular schedule to follow and a supportive community of people who are also working through addictions for support.

This supportive community is often what helps bridge the gap between living on site and off site that other outpatient drug treatment programs do not offer. For clients who have enrolled in the Christian drug treatment program offered at Transformations Treatment Center they will attend regular church services and pastoral counseling in addition to their regularly scheduled therapies and classes.

According to a recent piece done by CNN.com, outpatient drug treatment is far more popular than inpatient drug treatments. Outpatient drug treatment programs see three times the amount of patients that inpatient drug treatment programs see. This can be the result of a number of situations: funding, scheduling, social support, the intensity of the drug addiction and the drug addict’s need for personal freedom. Keep in mind that while there are some outpatient drug treatment programs that offer patients a great deal of personal freedom, others require their strict schedules to be followed exactly or the addict can risk expulsion from the program. Make sure you understand what your chosen program expects of you before you get started!

Personal freedom is often what will make or break an addict’s recovery. Out patient programs are offered for a wide variety of fees—some are even free—but it is not the cost that determines a person’s success in rehab. Some people are better able to succeed in outpatient drug treatment because they can live in their own homes and surround themselves with the people and things that offer them the most comfort. This comfort can spell the difference between success and freedom.

Remember that outpatient drug treatment might not be right for everyone. While there are programs, like the treatment offered at Transformations Treatment Center in Delray Beach, Florida that offer both inpatient and outpatient programs, there are more that will make a patient choose which course of addiction recovery treatment is best for him. The key is your social support system. If you do not have a strong support system, you will probably have more success in an in patient drug treatment program.

The important thing is to choose a program that is right for who you are. Be honest with yourself. Do you need to stay on site? Do you need the constant supervision offered by an inpatient facility? If so, you need to choose an inpatient facility. If you cannot take the time away from your home or family and you need the comfort provided by your friends and family you will be better served by an outpatient drug treatment program.

If you need help deciding which type of treatment is best for you, contact the professionals at Transformations Treatment Center in Delray Beach, Florida. Together you and a Transformations Treatment Center counselor will determine which option is best for you and get you started on the road to sobriety.

out patient drug treatment is the best type of drug treatment in my opinion. Nobody wants to go to a blue walled inpatient locked down drug and alcohol program. intensive out patient gives you the real life setting. With the therapy and drug treatment needed.

I think intensive out patient drug and alcohol is the way to go after inpatient drug treatment. Its just another step you need to take to achieve long term sobriety. And after intensive out patient drug rehab I think you should continue with a halfway house then from there into a sober living home. And continue a 12 step program.

Im doing out patient drug treatment after I get out of my inpatient drug treatment center. Then after that im going in to a halfway house. I am so so tired of abusing drugs and alcohol. I am determined to do whatever it takes. drugs and alcohol took a lot of things from me. It’s time to take charge of my life again. I WILL KILL IT BEFORE IT KILLS ME!

Out patient drug treatment is where i finally achieved my sobriety.it was a christian out patient program. Ive done the whole inpatient thing which was alright but i prefer the more realist approach instead of the whole lock down approach. I have abused drugs and alcohol and I need help. But i want to be at a place that I can tolerate otherwise I wont stick around.

Is outpatient drug treatment really required to get clean and sober. Im going to a 90 day inpatient treatment program and when Im done with that my parents want me to go to an outpatient drug rehab and then they want me to go to a halfway house. It seem like a lot. but i guess its what i need. I have been abusing drugs and alcohol for a long time.

  • By mark, May 22, 2009 @ 12:28 pm

If i had a choice to do the drug treatment thing all over again I probably would have just gone to an out patient drug and alcohol program. The inpatient drug rhab center I went to wasnt as good as the christian drug treatment program that i went to right after i left mt inpatient drug program. I could have saved some time and money.

  • By cory, May 23, 2009 @ 10:32 am

If im going into a inpatient drug and alcohol treatment facility do i have to go to a outpatient drug rehab when im done? My family wants me to do 90 days of inpatient drug treatment then 30 days of out patient then go in to a halfway house for a year. This kinda seems like a lot. this is my first time trying to get off of drugs and alcohol so I dont know what the routine is exactly. I know i want to quit abusing drugs and alcohol I am definitely an addict and alcoholic. I guess i’ll do whatever it takes. i cant continue to live the way I am living.

out patient drug treatment is a wise decision to make if you actively use drugs and alcohol and are looking to get clean and sober. I believe if you are truly willing to give up your addiction to drugs and alcohol and you follow the WHOLE process to acheive sobriety. You will never ever have to use drugs ever again. get the drug treatment you need and follow a 12 step program. Life will get good.

What is the plan after drug and alcohol treatment? It should be finding a sober living environment and continuing to work on your addiction. Have you decided whether or not your going to a halfway house. After you do out patient drug and alcohol you should continue to work on your addiction or alcoholism. I found a place that could possibly help you find some kind of transitional housing.

My drug addiction caused me to loose my job and my family. I got drug treatment for my addictions in Delray Beach Florida. This was not my first time trying to get clean and sober.I’ve tried therapy, counceling, and numerous drug and alcohol treatment centers. This last time I chose to go to a christian drug and alcohol rehab center. I wanted to get closer to god. This was my last shot and nothing else had worked before. Today I have my family in my life and im working a job I truly love!! And the number one thing is “I am more closer to god than I could ever Imagine.” I’ve always thought of myself as a christian in the past. today I “know” im a christian. not by my words but by my actions.

Out patient drug treatment is working to help addicts and alcoholics. We have found a new way to stay free from drugs and alcohol. The hospital type setting is hard for addicts to do. But when put in a relaxed real life setting it makes it easier and more enjoyable.

Out patient drug treatment is a little different then inpatient drug treatment. It isnt as much of a lock down setting. It is more realistic and easier to transition back to the real world once you have completed your drug treatment.
