Christian Rehabilitation
There is no one particular method of helping a person overcome addiction. Each person’s addiction is unique. The circumstances surrounding Christian rehabilitation may vary depending on a person’s history and current lifestyle. It is important, then, that when an addict or alcoholic seeks drug and alcohol treatment that they find a Christian program that understands how to treat his or her specific addiction. There are several schools of thought when it comes to Christian rehabilitation. Some people respond better to severe circumstances while others are better suited to a “coaxing” environment.
Many people excel in Christian recovery communities, surrounded by like-minded people. The Christian rehabilitation programs and alcohol treatment programs in Delray Beach, Florida are centered on each client’s individual needs and strengths. Experts understand that, in order to overcome an addiction, a person must be given an environment in which he or she can play to personal strengths to help them overcome the circumstances surrounding their drug or alcohol abuse. Delray Beach is known as the recovery capital of the nation and is one of the many reasons that it offers some of the most successful Christian rehabilitation programs. Christian treatment centers located in Delray Beach Florida understand that no two drug or alcohol addictions are alike.
The two major types of Christian rehabilitation programs are inpatient and outpatient treatment. Inpatient Christian rehabilitation programs are just what they sound like. An alcoholic or an addict will check into the Christian program and live on site for a pre-determined number of days. During those days he or she will take part in group and individual therapy sessions, community outings and other recovery related programs that are designed to teach the individual how to cope with his or her addiction and how to keep from a relapse. The outpatient Christian rehabilitation programs are those in which the addict lives at home but voluntarily comes in for substance abuse counseling a certain number of times per week.
The individual Christian drug rehabilitation and Christina alcohol rehabilitation programs are a little harder to define. These involve figuring out ways to best “reach” the addict-to “flick the switch” that makes them realize that they can not only get sober but that they can stay sober-with the proper tools. Remember, each person is unique. What works for the man or woman sitting next to you in a group therapy session might not work for you. Part of the substance abuse recovery process is figuring out what your strengths and weaknesses are so that you will be able to play to your strengths when you encounter situations that, before rehabilitation, would have sent you spiraling downward.
In Delray Beach, Christian rehabilitation centers offer both inpatient and outpatient programs. Clients can choose programs that range from thirty to ninety days in length and will start in one of the center’s three phases of addiction recovery. Each phase is different and each phase is set up to give each client enough time to work on individual rehabilitation goals.

Why should I choose Christian rehabilitation? Every one wants me to go to a christian drug treatment center. I have been using drugs all my life. I have never attended church. I’m not a religous person. But everyone seems to think that this is what i need to treat my addiction. They want to send me all the way down to florida. Im kinda of scared of all this. but i need help.

It is important that alcoholicsand drug addicts be honest with themselves when they choose an alcohol and drug rehab center to help them overcome their alcohol and drug addictions. If the alcoholic and addict does not have a strong system of support or does not want to have to rely on friends or family to stay sober then an in-patient drug program is best. If it is the withdrawals that are the most frightening, then perhaps the methadone clinic is a safe bet. For help choosing an alcohol treatment center, fill out the form on this website and a trained professional will contact you to discuss your options and help you choose a treatment center.

The experiences of addiction. While current research shows that genetics (see the mu-opioid blog entry) and brain physiology (see the amygdala blog entry) play an important role in addiction neither of these third order factors are experienced by the individual who is addicted. Christian rehabilitation offers help for the addict or alcoholic who suffers.

This type of service is less costly than the previously mentioned treatments, but some of the more streamlined versions of this treatment may offer little more than some education. Do your homework first. This is a good program for those who have social support, hold jobs and have connections to resources. Some out-patient, non-drug programs can offer the same intensity of the in-patient treatments, with an emphasis on individual patient needs, such as medical and psychological. Christian rehabilitation is available.

I am hungry so I will eat,” “I need to calm down so I will smoke,” “I am tired so I will sleep” – but if we see that internal cues are only clues rather than truths, we can start to make more conscious decisions and examine our motives more clearly. This is can bring the addict back to the basic survival skills of life without focusing on their addiction.

If your drug of choice is safe to physically withdraw from without medical assistance, you may be able to avoid an inpatient drug rehab program altogether. If your insurance or sliding-scale program covers only a short-term emergency stay, you will be out of residential drug rehab very quickly.
In either case, you will then need to choose from among the available outpatient drug addiction treatment choices
