Christian Drug Rehab

Christian Drug Rehab

While doing research on substance abuse treatment you learn about the different types of drug rehabilitation programs that are available, do not forget about exploring the Christian drug rehab. Many people, especially those who have relapsed, insist that a Christian drug rehab program is the best way to get sober.
Professional substance abuse counselors understand now that there are quite a few components that are required for an addict to get sober:
- A safe, sober and structured environment.
- A steady sober support system.
- Substance Abuse Counseling and/or therapy that addresses Mental Health
- (And sometimes) A 12 step based recovery community away from the “real world.”
Christian drug rehab centers know that an addict or alcoholic has a better chance of getting and staying sober if he or she has a sober support system that he or she can fall back on and that most will not get clean and sober until the different triggers that make them reach for their drug of choice are identified and worked on.
A Christian drug rehab meets all of these criteria. Unlike the other types of substance abuse treatment centers, Christian drug rehabilitation recovery programs offer addicts and alcoholics something more. Those who swear by Christian drug rehabilitation mention that it wasn’t just their faith that helped them get sober. It included many aspects including the positive atmosphere offered by the church, the welcoming feeling of joining the church community and the supportive suggestions that were given to them by the members of their congregation.
Christian drug rehab offers drug addicts a sense of belonging that they do not usually find in other types of substance abuse treatment centers. One of the reasons addicts and alcoholics do not seek substance abuse treatment is the fear of judgment by others. With Christian drug rehabilitation program, the atmosphere is one of acceptance. The addict is welcomed into a supportive recovery community of other people who are also working toward sobriety. This community works together to find strength in their common beliefs and use those beliefs to give them the hope and support they need to stay sober. A Christian drug rehab will also use faith-based writings to teach community members how to overcome their drug addiction and alcoholism and abstain from all mind and mood altering chemicals.
One reason that a Christian drug rehab works when other types of substance abuse treatment centers fail is the understanding that the addict and alcoholic is not in this alone. In addition to the other drug addicts involved in the program, people seeking Christian drug rehab are taught to find inspiration and comfort in a loving God. The idea that there is always someone watching out for them and helping them stay clean and sober is often what keeps a recovering addict or alcoholic from returning to active addiction once he or she leaves a Christian drug rehab.

If you are abusing drugs and alcohol and you want to get drug treatment my suggestion is to find a christian drug rehab. I have been through many drug programs and the only one that had worked for me was a christian drug and alcohol program. They focus on three main things mind, body and spirit. And you can also build a relationship with god.

I wish I would have went to a christian drug rehab 10 years ago. I have been to a dozen of detox’s and drug treatment programs and never was able to get clean. The last drug treatment center I went to was a christian drug rehab. They have a dynamic way of drug treatment. And they have a strong desire to help the addict and alcoholic who suffers from addiction and alcoholism. I am finally clean and sober today thanks to the christian drug and alcohol facility i went to. Drugs and alcohol dont stand a chance with the type of therapy a christian drug rehab offers.

The christian drug treatment center I went to save my life. I still need a little help here and there. But im working on it. This is the last time i plan on going back to a drug rehab.

When i first decided to get clean and sober the first thing i wanted to do was go to a detox. I had been abusing the drug heroin and some strong opiates like oxycontin. So my first step was to detox from these drugs and then go to a christian drug and alcohol treatment facility in delray beach florida.

i have been to state funded drug and alcohol rehabs my whole life. its nice to have been able to go to a private drug drug and alcohol treatment center this last time. I got more out of drug treatment this time around than i ever have. Theres more to getting clean and sober than most people think. Fighting addiction and alcoholism is tough but it can be done. Help from a christian drug and alcohol traetment center is what did it for me.

My family doesnt want to have anything to do with me and I lost my job that Ive had pretty much my whole life. My wife is looking into a christian drug rehab center for me here in Florida. Im looking forward to getting clean and sober and fixing my broken life.

I grew up in a house hold where addiction and alcoholism was a common thing. Both of my parents raised me through their active addiction. I had to grow up slightly fast. But I wouldnt change a thing. This was my journey. And it created the man that i am today. God had me endure these things that happened in my life for a reason. I am also an addict well I should say a recovering addict and alcoholic. But there is hope for people suffering from addiction and alcoholism. i’m proof.

I think it is only by the grace of god that I am clean and sober today. I put down the drugs and alcohol a year ago. I was heavily addicted to crack cocaine and heroin and of course alcohol. I went to a million and 1 drug treatment centers and I just could not get it. I always just seem to relapse. I decided to give it one more shot and ended up in a christian drug rehab. Here I am today filled with hope and and happiness.

  • By Kenya, June 6, 2009 @ 11:16 am

I have been to a few drug treatment centers in the past couple of years. Why did it take so many for me to finally get this? The answer is easy.. I was never willing before. I still had reservations. I thought I could do it differently each time. I thought I could use drugs and alcohol successfully. It took me falling strait on my face each time to finaly realize “there isnt a successful way!!” I had to loose everything. I had to hit the bottoms of bottoms. today I am willing. The last drug and alcohol rehabilitation program was exactly that. The last one! Have you had enough? Are you willing? Or do you want to stay on that merry go round of misery?????

  • By mona richey, June 8, 2009 @ 11:57 am

I went to a drug and alcohol rehab center. In fact, I went to a number of drug and alcohol programs in my time. I finally got in when I was about 32 and I have stayed drug and free ever since. I think that my drug addiction and alcoholism made me stronger now that I look back on my life. I now work in a Christian drug rehab facility and I have never been so happy.

  • By jacob, June 11, 2009 @ 11:14 am

Drugs also physically change a person, transforming the neuro-chemical makeup in a person’s brain. This leads some to view addiction as a disease. However, the model that sees drug addiction as a matter of dysfunctional learning helps to explain how learned behaviors can be unlearned. Christian rehabs are helping with these issues.

  • By Victor, June 15, 2009 @ 3:24 pm

There are no drug addiction treatment program methods that will be successful for all addicts and alcoholics. Once an addict or alcoholic has found the courage to face the reality that there is a substance problem over which they have no control, the next step is to find a drug treatment option that will work for them.

  • By Jacob, July 31, 2009 @ 1:24 pm

Christian drug rehab helped this addict and alcoholic and it can help you. If the pain gets great enough you will make the changes. But it wont work until you put your all into it. We must make our own mistakes and learn from them. I realized most of this when i went to my first drug and alcohol program.
