The efficacy of the Christian addiction treatment program has been established over a period of time. The results that the Christian rehabs have been able to produce are much better than the ones dished out by traditional rehabs. So while most of us do understand that a Christian rehab is a better option, not many of us know how to choose an addiction treatment plan that will work best for our needs.
Below are a few points to work with when you set out to make a choice of the most appropriate Christian addiction treatment.
- Group or Individual – Some of us love large groups where we can talk about our lives and listen to what has happened to others. On the other hand, some of us may be more reserve in nature and would prefer to seek therapy on an individual level. Depending on the nature of the addict and his/her comfort level choice can be made between individual treatment and a more group approach.
- Age and gender criteria – Some times a patient may prefer to stay with a similar age group, while another one would like to stay with their particular gender. At other times, the person may not mind intermingling with different age groups and genders. So depending on this choice a selection can be made from the Christian addiction treatment that caters to only teens or only women or has a mixed group to offer.
- Addiction type – If the patient prefers to be with others who are all suffering from the same addiction, then a treatment plan that caters to only the given addiction needs to be chosen. However, if a person would like to be with others, who have addiction problems of a different kind then a mixed group can be selected.
- Environment – Some addicts like solace and peaceful environments, while it can drive others crazy. So it is important to choose a treatment plan that caters to the needs of the patient. If a teenager would prefer a rehab that offers a pool table and a swimming pool then sending him off to a rehab that has several hours of meditation to offer will drive him crazy.
The Christian addiction treatment plan that you choose will affect the success of the treatment phenomenally, so choose wisely. Seeking help from the rehab counselors in making this choice is highly recommended. Remember that they have worked on several similar cases and are more suited to these decisions.

I thought God would never forgive me because of the things I did in my addiction. With the help of the Therapists at Transformations my relationship with my higher power is restored and I have forgiven myself also.
